Mint Iced Tea

A glorious way to use up the mint in your garden. This tea is refreshing and easy to make while impressing anyone who tries it and will want to know how you made it.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bunches mint stems in tact but any roots trimmed off
  • 2 family sized iced tea bags I use Lipton
  • 5 C water
  • 1/4 C granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • Place the water and sugar in a large saucepan over high heat. Bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling turn the heat off and set the saucepan on a cool burner, or on the counter.Put the mint in the water and steep the tea bags in the water. Let this sit for 5 minutes.
  • Strain the tea into a large pitcher. Fill it with ice cubes and put in the fridge to cool completely.
