Juicy Turkey Burgers
Nothing beats these Juicy Turkey Burgers. I have made them for friends several times and have gotten a lot of compliments on them, but the best one I get is “this is turkey??”
Often times turkey burgers are too dry and lack a lot of flavor. I combat this by acting as though these are huge meatballs. Seriously you could probably make these meatballs if you rolled them smaller. I’ll get on that.
There is one key to these though, DO NOT GRILL THEM.
Wait what?
Seriously, they will fall apart. Do them on the stove top, I like to use a non-stick pan ( I love Copper Chef pans) or well seasoned cast iron skillet (Here’s my Amazon link to Copper Chef: https://amzn.to/2ruXg26 ) This All Clad Non Stick is another one of my favorites: https://amzn.to/3tWBvpu
Top them with all your favorite hamburger toppings, put some cheese and guacamole on top, add some bacon, and make sure you have a nice sturdy bun to hold it all together. Throw some classic crinkle cuts on your plate and enjoy something the whole family will love. Alternatively you can serve these over to a salad and top with some guacamole for a low carb treat.

- 1 onion diced
- 1 egg
- 1 C panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 C parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Burger Toppings
- sliced red onion
- dill pickle chips
- ketchup
- mayo
- mustard
- lettuce
- heirloom tomato thickly sliced
- avocado sliced thinly
Instructions
- Heat a large non stick or cast iron skillet over medium heat on the stove. Add 1 tbsp olive oil. Once hot and shimmering, add in the diced yellow onion and cook until it is translucent and soft. About five minutes.
- Add in the garlic and cook until fragrant about thirty seconds. Pull off the heat and allow to cool slightly.
- In a medium bowl combine the raw turkey, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan. Add in 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Toss in the onion/garlic mixture and combine with your hands.
- Shape the mixture into patties and put them on a plate.
- Heat the skillet over medium heat again with the additional tbsp olive oil. Once hot and shimmering place the patties in the skillet. Cook until browned on both sides. About 6 minutes per side.
- Pull off the heat and serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
So easy and SO delicious. Didn’t know what to cook tonight but had all the ingredients! I put these bad boys on a salad with some blue cheese, dressing and guac. My fiancé always says turkey burgers are tricky because they always fall apart. Not with this recipe!! I also served this to him and he could not believe they were turkey either hahaha!
I love how you served them with guacamole on some salad! That’s a perfect low carb meal. They are so delicious it really is hard to believe they are turkey.
I have made these every single week this summer. So great. Everyone, including my one and three year old, LOVES these burgers. And they make great leftovers.
